James Roose-Evans is an ordained, non-stipendiary Anglican priest, who combined his calling with that of an actor and theatre director. He has authored nearly twenty books and is still writing in his nineties. Over 35 years ago he founded The Bleddfa Centre for the Creative Spirit on the Welsh Marches, a place I have grown to love. Finding Silence grows out of the work of a group James now leads in London which meets regularly for mediation. It is one of many hundreds of such groups today, gathering in one another’s houses, transcending all differences of religion, colour, race, gender, as people increasingly seek a deeper meaning to their lives.
James has been an encouragement in my own life of prayer and meditation. I am inviting you to take inspiration with me from his book and share some simply quiet time of meditation online.
